Question by raj: Do we need to check in luggage at terminal 6 for Jet blue flight after coming to terminal 4 at JFK from India?
My parents are visiting me from India and they are flying Air India from Mumbai to JFK. It lands at terminal 4. After immigration, they need to catch Jet Blue flight for their final destination which flies out of terminal 6.
Can they check in their luggage at terminal 4 after immigration/customs clearance or do they need to carry luggage to terminal 6 and check in there? Has anybody experienced this before?

I think they’re best bet is to ask when they check-in in India because I think JetBlue doesn’t have any bag agreements with other airlines, other than Southwest, where they can transfer bags for passengers. Also, have them look at the bag tags to see where the bags are checked, either to JFK or the final destination. I hope they have plenty of layover time.
