I’ve always flown with Southwest and they allow 2 free luggages that are under 50lbs plus a carry on for free.

Unless you have a first class or full fare ticket, or are an elite member of their SkyMiles program, you need to pay for even the first checked bag within the US. The 1st is $ 25 or $ 23 if paid online, 2nd is $ 35 or $ 32 if paid online.

I just spent $ 30 on luggage fees with US Airways. I’m not looking to book another flight and I’m considering Jet Blue. Do you have to pay for your checked luggage with them? If so, how much? I just want to factor it into the cost of the ticket. Thanks!

Question by Max: Are there any restrictions in luggage size for domestic flights in the USA?
I’m going to travel to the USA in the next time and I’ll take a lot of domestic flights between some states, so I would like to know, if there are any limits for luggage size. I lately heard that a suitcase may be max. 158 cm, and that if it exceeds that size, you have to pay $ 70 extra per flight and suitcase. Is that true? Thanks for answers!
